About This Blog

I'm a RPCV, activist, agnostic UU, devoted partner, amateur photographer, mad procrastinator, doula-in-training, aspiring midwife, tree hugger, mommy-to-be, and unapologetic progressive.

I was once a shy, immensely confused, conservative atheist from a farm town in Illinois. But those days left with my adolescence, thank gods, though my family's cowboy hats and conservatism remain fully intact.

This blog is my attempt to dump thoughts out into the world in a somewhat constructive manner and participate in discourse with friends and strangers alike. My interests are diverse and, though I see unifying themes between them all, others may not. Leave me comments! They make me happy :)

Topics here may include:

  • politics
  • health policy, reproductive health, pregnancy, and birth;
  • Unitarian Universalism and spirituality;
  • books, reading and writing;
  • cooking and vegetarianism;
  • sustainable agriculture, gardening, and food activism;
  • general tree hugging, environmentalism, and living simply;
  • knitting and crocheting;
  • photography and my valiant attempts at it; and/or
  • my two awesome cats.
Only time will tell.
